Exhibition \u201cTraces of Existence\u201d\n\nAt the end of the 2025 exhibition season, the HEARTS Art Gallery proudly presents an exceptional collection of designer objects united by a single conceptual narrative \u2014 the legend \u201cTraces of Existence.\u201d\n\nThe creator of the collection works across genres and in multiple media. Under the intentionally absurdist brand name Barrel&Spindel, the artist presents a series of furniture-based design objects, as well as several pieces created in other materials.\n\nThe artist believes that a work of art should exist independently of its creator\u2019s name. Only in this way can viewers fully experience the spectrum of feelings, emotions, and meanings that the work expresses. For those who feel compelled to understand the personality behind the creation, the objects themselves reveal the artist\u2019s character and way of thinking.\n\nThe Barrel&Spindel brand invites the viewer into the story behind each piece. Every object becomes a kind of magical portal into another person\u2019s life \u2014 their passions, hopes, joys, and sorrows. The exhibition “The Bright Side of the Soul” is organized within the framework of the Ukrainian Art Festival (UKUFest) and is a unique project that combines the work of two talented artists: Nina DoShe and Dmytro Dobrovolsky. World-famous Ukrainian artists have created their own unique, recognizable artistic style. In their works, they explore the positive aspects of human nature, striving to convey to the audience bright emotions, inspiration and hope for a bright future.<\/div>
Nina and Dmytro’s paintings immerse the viewer in a world of bright colors and sincere feelings. Using a wide range of painting techniques, they create works that reflect joy, love for the world around them, the beauty of nature… Each painting is a moment depicted in colors that fills the space with light and warmth. Estonia\u2019s first festival dedicated to contemporary Ukrainian art brings us a Ukraine we haven\u2019t seen before. A facet of a brave nation whose very existence is already a great victory.<\/p>

For over three years, Ukraine has bravely fought against a ruthless aggressor. For over three years, we have witnessed video footage and photographs that should not exist in the 21st century. \u201cNever again,\u201d we once said. And yet, here we are.<\/p>

Renowned Estonian galleries\u2014 Hearts Art Gallery, ArtDepoo, Fotografiska Tallinn, Galerii Truus, Juhan Kuus Documentary Photo Centre, and Temnikova & Kasela\u2014are joining forces to present an eclectic kaleidoscope of Ukrainian documentary photography, street art, illustration, performance art, film, and music.<\/p>

UKUfest 2025 is more than a festival. It is a way to show support for Ukraine and its culture. A cultural diplomacy movement that believes creativity always wins.<\/p>

The festival opens on May 9th across all participating exhibition venues. This will be followed by a pop-up exhibition and auction. The film War in Art explores the intersection of war and creativity at a crossroads.
